The VIS Open Day is a free annual event with the opportunity for the Victorian community to meet our Olympians, Paralympians and World Champion athletes, learn from high performance sport experts and experience the inner workings of our world class facility.
The VIS Open Day offers a unique taste of what it takes to be an elite athlete and to work in the high performance environment. Everyone is welcome, from children and families to university students and sports fans.

2023 Open Day
Last year's Open Day was our biggest one yet with over 1000 eager attendees through the doors.
With Paris 2024 looming, athletes and staff took the time to share information about their Olympic and Paralympic preparation through a range of family-friendly demonstrations and activities.
These included interactive sports skills and drill demonstrations with VIS athletes, cooking and nutrition classes with VIS dieticians, recovery classes with VIS strength and conditioning coaches, as well as mental preparation and performance classes with VIS sports psychologists.
