A VIS Docu-Series: The Quest for Paris

The Victorian Institute of Sport is excited to announce an Olympic and Paralympic docu-series: The Quest for Paris.

Featuring three-time Olympian, Anabelle Smith, who faces a formidable injury as she endeavors to secure her fourth Olympic Games qualification, and Paralympic swimmer, Col Pearse, chasing to turn his Tokyo 2020 bronze medal into a gold in Paris… if he can learn to control his competition nerves.

COL PEARSE

For a time, Col Pearse trained for the Tokyo Paralympic Games in a dam - the now famous Pearse Aquatic Centre - located on the family farm in downtown Bamawm Extension.

He went on to win bronze in the Japanese capital.

Four years later and expectations have risen. The quest is to turn bronze into gold in Paris.

ANABELLE SMITH

In late 2022 Anabelle Smith, a three-time Olympian and one of Australia’s greatest divers, took a holiday.

She returned with her career, and plans for a fourth Olympic campaign, in tatters.

Or so it seemed.

The telling of Anabelle’s remarkable quest for Paris begins here, with the first of two episodes of a compelling Victorian Institute of Sport documentary.
