The VIS Tours have been extremely popular this last week with 7 different groups coming through over 5 days!
We had a mix of visitors over the week some from Chisholm Institute, high school students from St Kevin’s College, Donvale Christian College, McKinnon Secondary College as well as Grade 5 & 6 students from Old Orchard Primary School and finishing the week by hosting students all the way from Arizona State University in the USA.
Former VIS Hockey scholarship-holder Samantha Snow now teaches at Old Orchard PS and accompanied her group to the VIS.
Students from McKinnon SC got a chance to have a hit against table tennis star Milly Tapper, Olympian, two-time Paralympian and the reigning Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist (women's singles TT6-10).
It was a busy week for the Community Projects team, but special thanks goes out to VIS athletes that helped out with the running of the Tours. Special thanks to Melbourne Vixens training partner Rahni Samason, Milly Tapper, hockey athlete Carly James, Victorian Fury & Vixens training partner Sacha McDonald, track cyclist Tyler Meunier and 1500m runner Linden Hall.
