Ryan Gregson ticked an important box in his career yesterday, winning the 1500m (3:37.72) at the Seiko Golden Grand Prix in Osaka. Fellow VIS scholarship holder, Jordan Williamsz placed fourth.
“I really did come here expecting to win and I was very happy I was able to do it.” Gregson said in a post-race press conference.
“This is one of my career highlights, this is the first time I’ve ever done a press conference and I would love to experience more things like this.”
In the shot put, Victorian Institute of Sport’s Damien Birkinhead also recorded a victory with a mark of 20.42m and registered three throws over 20m.
Whilst, Zoe Buckman produced a personal best over 3000m (8:52.33).
