Pierre De Coubertin Awards

The Pierre de Coubertin Award is a prestigious award which recognises secondary school students who demonstrate values which are consistent with the Olympic Movement through participation in sporting activities.

Proudly supported by the Department of Education and Training and presented by the Victorian Olympic Council, the awards are named after the founder of the Modern Olympic Games.

Each year, secondary school teachers are invited to nominate one recipient to receive the Pierre de Coubertin Award from year 10, 11 or 12. The nominee must participate actively in the school's physical education program with a consistently positive attitude and must have represented the school in a sport.

To nominate your school’s award recipient, please follow the four steps below:
1.Click HERE to access the online nomination form
2.Enter your school and contact details and press NEXT

3.Enter your student and nomination details and press SUBMIT

Please note, this year's theme is 'Which Olympic athlete has been a role model to you and how?’
4.You will receive an automatic reply email with further details on the digital media/artwork/literary piece submission and the Olympic Academy which will be delivered prior to the Awards Ceremony.

The Olympic Academy provides the opportunity for students to meet
Olympians, workshop Olympic issues and learn about the International Olympic Movement.

In addition, all Victorian schools are invited to nominate TWO year 10, 11 or 12 students (not including your award recipient) to take part in this FREE program. Limited places are available and further details will be provided once the Award nomination is submitted.
