Victorian Institute of Sport shooters, Aislin Jones, Laetisha Scanlan, Penny Smith and Emma Cox all finished in podium positions at the Victorian ISSF Championships in Echuca over the weekend.
Jones took out the Victorian ISSF Skeet Women’s and Junior Women’s Championships in style.
Jones’ score of 117/125 equalled her own Junior World Record score, going on to hit 57/60 in the final, one target shy of the Women’s World Record set in Korea last week.
Jones was very excited to take home the Championships.
“Travelling home from the Victorian State Championships in Echuca. I couldn't be happier with the result.” She posted via her social media accounts.
Scanlan, Smith and Cox completed the VIS-trifecta in the Women’s Trap final, with Scanlan hitting 47 out of 50 targets to take out the gold medal.
