Four selected for World Champs

VIS’ Carol Cooke, Stuart Tripp, Alistair Donohoe and Hannah Macdougall have all been selected to represent the Australian Cycling Team at the 2018 UCI Para Road World Championships.

Headlining the World Championship team selections is seven-time and dual reigning world champion Cooke who recently took out World Cup gold and silver at the first round of the 2018 UCI Para Road World Cup in Belgium earlier this month.

Dual World Championship medallist, Tripp, will also be looking to continue his impressive form coming off a gold and silver medal at the 2017 World Championships.

Madougall and Donohoe add depth to the Australian team and have also been in fine form collecting medals at the recent first round of the 2018 UCI Para Road World Cup.

In other para-cycling news, Cooke, Donohoe and Tripp all raced a Time Trial over 23km over the weekend in Geelong which is part of the national para Time Trial series.

Tripp was the winner in a time of 38:08.29 with Cooke second in 52:11.73. Donohoe also raced in the Men’s Elite category and came 16th in 33:14.19.
