Vale Wendy Braybon

The Victorian Institute of Sport wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Wendy Braybon, who passed away on the 2nd April 2018, aged 65.

Wendy was a much loved member of the Victorian and Australian sporting community, and was the long serving VIS Physiotherapy Co-ordinator & practitioner.

Wendy’s presence added value beyond the physio table as she brightened everyone’s day through her infectious, raucous laughter and ability to be calm in situations where athletes bodies were in disarray.

Wendy was the Australian Olympic Team physiotherapist from Barcelona 1992 to 2012 in London where her skills led her to be appointed the Head of the physio team.

The VIS would like to extend our deepest sympathy and thoughts to her husband Mike and family Tom, Charlie & Em.

In expressing our thoughts of Wendy she was a very positive, caring and dedicated professional and much loved colleague who will be greatly missed by us all and so many athletes.
