Victorian Institute of Sport shooters, Penny Smith and Jack Wallace, take silver in the Trap Mixed Team final at the ISSF World Cup in South Korea.
The reigning World Champion team of Smith and Wallace were sitting in the gold medal position at the 25-target mark, however, fell two targets behind with ten clays left to shoot.
Felling the pressure of last year’s title, the VIS athletes missed three more clays, closing with 38 hits out of 50 trailing Slovakia’s 41 and had to settle for silver.
The silver medal complimented Smith’s successful World Cup series, finishing in a gallant fifth position earlier in the week in a strong Women’s Trap final.
