Nutrition Tip | Canned Fish

Canned tuna and salmon can be a convenient protein source to add to your meals. Providing a good source of protein, omega 3’s and a variety of other minerals like calcium, zinc, and selenium, it’s a powerhouse of nutrients.

There are so many uses for canned fish, which extend well beyond a tuna & salad sandwich. Consider making rice paper rolls, topping a pizza, tossing it through a stir-fry, making patties or serving it on a baked sweet potato.

Stock your pantry with canned tuna, salmon, sardines or even mackerel for nights when you come home late from training and need a quick nutritious meal.  For more ideas & inspiration, click here to see VIS Nutrition in the kitchen with our VIS athletes & John West.
