VIS sport climbing scholarship holder Oceana Mackenzie won the National Open ‘A’ Women’s Lead Title on the weekend.
Competing in her first open women’s event Mackenzie says that she’s over the moon with her inaugural open victory.
“What a weekend! I’m still on a high from the 2018 Cliff Bar Open lead and speed championships!” she posted via social media.
“I’m so happy to have taken first place in my first official lead and speed open nationals.”
“Always awesome competing with such strong inspiring women.”
With sport climbing confirmed as an Olympic Sport for 2020, Mackenzie will look to continue to improve on her already fantastic form.
