Victorian Institute of Sport teenage sprint sensation Isis Holt has broken her own world record in the T35 100 metres on the Gold Coast.
The 16-year old recorded a winning time of 13.37 seconds on Saturday night, shaving .06seconds off the previous time she set at last year’s world titles.
The Victorian, who lives by the motto “My ability is stronger than my disability”, will go in as hot favourite to win the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in April.
Holt has already claimed titles on the world biggest stages, doing the 100m-200m double at the 2015 and 2017 Paralympic world athletics championships.
The Brunswick student was a part of the initial 14 members of the 111 Australian Athletics team selected to compete at Gold Coast 2018.
