Eccles places 5th at Oates Vic Open

The 2018 Oates Vic Open was a nail-biting spectacle with the championship decided in a playoff round with Tasmanian Simon Hawkes claiming victory at 13^th Beach on Sunday.

Victorian Institute of Sport scholarship holder, Ben Eccles was the best performed VIS athlete throughout the tournament finishing 10 under for T5.

Zach Murray tied with Matias Sanchez for the Low Amateur title, both finishing 6 under for T24.
