Love a pizza but don’t want to blow the energy budget?

Tips to choose a tasty yet healthy option:

 

1. Choose woodfired pizzas with tomato bases & simple, fresh toppings.

2. Have half and bulk out the rest of your plate with a balsamic raddichio & cherry tomato salad!

3. Make your own!

4. Avoid old school take away pizza chains ~ where the boxes are seeping grease!

5. Minimise pizza with additional sauces (bbq, sweet chilli, creamy carbonara, peri peri – these are more calorie laden).

6. Any pizza advertised with over 3 cheeses including soft cheeses such as camembert or brie probably provide more than an average adults daily energy needs.
