Baden and Deng perform strongly at Jandakot Airport Track Classic

Joel Baden claims victory in the high jump, whilst Joseph Deng places third over 800m.

Joel Baden claimed victory in the high jump at the Jandakot Airport Track Classic in Perth on Saturday night, soaring 2.15m. Joseph Deng opened his 2018 campaign, placing third in the men’s 800m in a time of 1:47.84.

Both Baden and Deng will be looking to improve on their existing Commonwealth Games B qualifiers across the next few weeks leading into Australian Championships on 13-18 February.

Dual World Champion, Isis Holt, produced a seasons best run over 200m at the Athletics ACT Summer Series in Canberra.
