VIS Aerial skier, Danielle Scott, has bounced back to form by winning gold in the World Cup in China over the weekend.
In a one-jump final, Scott clearly led the field with 100.11 points, ahead of China's Mengtao Xu (87.42) and Russia's Kristina Spiridonova (86.94). Fellow VIS scholarship holder, Samantha Wells was fifth (86.36).
Danielle Scott, David Morris and Samantha Wells joined forces in the Teams event, claiming another gold, less than two months out from the Winter Olympics in Peongchang.
The trio went into the nail-biting final round against China and Russia with the pressure on once again for the team who earned bronze last year to pull out their biggest tricks.
“Last year we came third which was pretty exciting because we have a big disadvantage having two girls and one guy compared to two guys and one girl,” Morris said.
“These two ladies really have to pull their biggest skills and we can’t really can’t make any mistakes if we want to make it through the rounds and we did that today which is very exciting.
