Aerial skiers flying high in Finland

VIS athletes, Danielle Scott and Laura Peel have both claimed victories at the Aerial Skiing warm-up Europa Cup in Ruka, Finland.

Peel won the opening event with a score of 163.29 points, while Scott rounded out the second event with a score of 176.60 points.

With the Winter Olympics looming, the winning start in Ruka is exactly what the aerial skiing team needed, providing vital confidence leading into PyeongChang.

The next two weeks will see Australia’s best Olympic medal hopes begin their World Cup campaigns in China.
