Alice McNamara has climbed her way to gold at the Eureka Stair Climb in Melbourne on Sunday.
The VIS scholarship holder climbed all 88 floors in 10 mins and 15 seconds, holding on for the win over Meg Reeves by just 0.8 seconds.
The win marks McNamara’s seventh win in the Eureka Stair Climb.
Post-race, McNamara said that it was a tough race:
“It was pretty gruelling, especially the last 20 floors, so I’m stoked to just hang on to it,” she said.
“It’s great to come here and then look up at the building later and know you’ve climbed all the way to the top.”
