The VIS has had a successful weekend on the track, with four VIS athletes bringing home three golds and a bronze at the 2018 Victorian State Omnium Championships.
Isaac Buckell led the charge for the VIS, bringing home 1st in the elite male category in a tough field of competitors.
Sam de Riter added another gold medal to the tally with her win in the elite female category, kicking off her track cycling season with a bang. While Jensen Plowright snagged gold in the U/19 men’s category.
Ash Jones wasn’t about to miss out on all the fun, as she brought home bronze in a competitive U/19 female race.
The 2018 Victorian State Omnium Championships took place at the DISC Velodrome, in Thornbury on Saturday 28th October.
