VIS athletes on target

Three VIS shooting athletes have had a successful weekend at the Sydney Cup 2, bringing home a silver and bronze medal.

 

Mitchell Iles finished 2nd in the men’s trap, ending with 35 in the final round, 1 shot behind eventual winner Milad Nsar. Fellow VIS scholarship holder, Nathan Argiro, finished 5th with a score of 18.

 

In the men’s skeetfFinal, Luke Argiro took home the bronze medal with a score of 39. He finished just behind James Bolding and Paul Adams who finished 1st  and 3rd, respectively.

 

The Sydney Cup 2 is the fourth of five qualifying events for the Commonwealth Games, as VIS shooting athletes now turn their attention towards the final event, the SA Open, set to be held in Queensland on 1st-3rd December.
