Moloney receives call up

Melbourne Vixens captain, Kate Moloney, has received the call up into the Australian Samsung Diamonds Constellation Cup team as they seek redemption against the Silver Ferns.

Moloney will join fellow Melbourne Vixen teammates Liz Watson, Jo Weston and Emily Mannix in the 13-player squad. Caitlyn Nevins will also join Moloney as a late inclusion to the team.

The Constellation Cup will mark Moloney’s debut for the Diamonds after she was named in the squad in June.

The Australian Diamonds will be seeking redemption against the Silver Ferns, who claimed the Netball Quad Series title earlier last month for the first time since 2012. They defeated Australia 57-47 to claim the title.

The Constellation Cup tour kicks off on Sunday 1st October when the Diamonds meet the Silver Ferns in Auckland.
