Heath Davidson has taken out the Birmingham Classic quad singles title, in a massive upset, defeating tournament No. 1 David Wagner 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-1 in the final.
Heading into the tournament as the No. 2 seed, Davidson made his intention to take the title clear from the get go, defeating defending tournament champion Bryan Barten 4-6, 6-2, 7-6(6) in the first round. Before going on to defeat Canadian Rob Shaw, and eventually American David Wagner to take his third singles quad title of 2017.
