Aislin Jones has found herself on the podium once more, taking home second place at the ISSF Junior Grand Prix Shotgun in Suhl, Germany over the weekend.
Jones finished 2nd in the Junior Women’s Skeet in a competition that was taken down to the final target. The title was ultimately won by Japan’s Rika Orihara, with the Netherland’s Esmée Van Der Veen rounding out the podium.
The young VIS athlete seemed pleased with her result, but will certainly take away lessons from the event:
“I’m very pleased to have made the podium but I will take a few things away from this event as learning experiences.” she said.
In 2016, Jones became the youngest shooting athlete to compete at the Olympic Games when she represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
