Ern Prentice Insight | Belief systems

In psychology, the term self-efficacy is the belief in one’s own ability to be successful. You can believe in yourself but sometimes you do not win, but believing in yourself can help enable you to put yourself into a position to win.

Belief systems are a big part of confidence and beliefs that are irrational or unrealistic can lead to stress. These irrational or unrealistic beliefs could range from believing you are not good enough to play at a certain level, to fear of failure of rejection if you fail to perform. Irrational beliefs can be countered through adopting positive affirmations.
