Current VIS and World Champion Snowboarder, Scotty James, has made a strong start to his 2016-2017 northern hemisphere season, finishing fourth in the halfpipe final at the US Snowboard Grand Prix/World Cup event in Colorado, USA.
Competing in the best of three run final, the VIS athlete produced his best in the third run, scoring 88.75 to narrowly miss out on the podium.
Switzerland secured the top two spots on the podium with Patrick Burgener (96.25) and Sochi 2014 gold medallist Louri Podladtchikov (96.00) taking gold and silver and Chase Josey (93.75) of the USA winning bronze.
