Australia defeated Pakistan 3-1 in the final of the 2016 Sultan of Johor Cup
The Australian U21 Hockey team, the Burras, were crowned the 2016 Sultan of Johor Cup champions on Sunday in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
Featuring 6 VIS athletes, the Burras convincingly defeated Pakistan 3-1 in the final.
The squad’s participation in the tournament is a key element of their preparation for the Junior World Cup scheduled for 8-18 December in Lucknow, India.
Congratulations to all athletes and well done to VIS athlete Kiran Arunasalam who was named player of the tournament.
