Nutrition Tip | Turmeric

Turmeric is a spice which is commonly used in South East Asian cuisines to impart flavour and colour in food.

If you're not familiar with cooking South East Asian food, don't worry! Turmeric can easily be incorporated into many Western style dishes as well! Here is a recipe for turmeric and yoghurt roasted chicken.
 
Ingredients: 1 tbs ground cumin, 1 tbs ground coriander, 2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 cup Greek Natural Yoghurt plus extra to serve, 4 x100g chicken breasts (serves 4).

Method: Combine spices with yoghurt and use it to coat the chicken breasts. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Place chicken on baking tray and bake at 200C for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Transfer to plate and drizzle with extra yoghurt. Serve with roast vegetables of choice and brown rice – this is a perfect recovery meal!
