PARALYMPIANS READY FOR RIO

With the Australian Paralympic Team of 178 athletes now finalised, the VIS is pleased to confirm that 36 athletes on VIS scholarship across 10 sports will compete at the 2016 Paralympic Games.

VIS CEO Anne Marie Harrison recently told the Herald Sun that anticipation was building;  “Our Paralympians did the VIS and Australia proud at the London 2012 Games,” Ms Harrison said.

“We had some extraordinary results with 66 per cent of VIS athletes contributing to the medal tally.  Victorians can be assured we are sending another team of hardworking and talented athletes to Rio.’’

Congratulations and good luck to all VIS athletes competing in Rio:
