A new-look Melbourne Vixens will be captained by Madi Robinson for the 2016 ANZ Championship season. Robinson will be supported by co-vice captains Geva Mentor and Kate Moloney.
A humble Robinson stated “To be named captain of the Melbourne Vixens, it’s a huge privilege for me and I am so grateful for the opportunity to lead this incredible group of people and talented athletes.”
Following the retirement of Bianca Chatfield in 2015, Mentor and Moloney will support Robinson bringing an exciting combination of international experience and young leadership talent to the team.
The 2016 ANZ Championship kicks off for the Melbourne Vixens on 3 April against the NSW Swifts in Sydney. The Vixens will take to the court for their first home game in Round 3 on 16 April against the Queensland Firebirds at Hisense Area.
