Alcott starts 2016 on a high note

Current world no. 1 wheelchair tennis player Dylan Alcott defended his Apia International Sydney Wheelchair Tennis Open Quad Singles title, defeating third seed Andy Lapthorne (GBR) 6-0 6-3.

It is Alcott’s second straight title to start the season after capturing the Queensland Wheelchair Tennis Open last week to open the Australian summer season.

Sydney was the second stop of three on the Australian Wheelchair Tennis Summer Series, which provides vital ITF ranking points ahead of the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio.
