VIS rower Joshua Dunkley-Smith set a new world record for a 5km stationary 'erg' test, stopping the clock at 15:10 flat at the VIS on Friday.

The London 2012 silver medallist broke the 15 year old Concept 2 world record held by British rower Matthew Pinsent since 2000, in the 19-29 year old male category, heavyweight rowing.

VIS Head Rowing Coach Bill Tait said all of the athletes performed exceptionally well with many setting personal best times.
