How does the VIS support your career in high performance sport?
My whole team, from my strength & conditioning coach to my psychologist and nutritionist, all getting me fit and ready to perform at my best. My strength & conditioning coach, Steph, for getting me strong and building on my focus areas, Laura for working on my mental health barriers when competing, and Jess for making sure I'm staying well nourished for competition! Nicky for her continued support and guidance.
Most memorable sporting moment?
Winning a Paralympic bronze medal on debut and breaking the Australian and Oceania record, then backing it up at World Championships by breaking my PB by 1.32m and winning bronze for the second year!!
Proudest personal achievement outside of sport?
Facing all the barriers to work in my dream career in childcare and continuing to grow and develop.
What do you enjoy most about your sport?
Getting to make life long friends along the way, who have become family.
Advice to your younger self?
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't and never listen to the bullies.
Go-to meal before competing?
Vegemite on Toast with Allens lollies out at event site.
If you could have dinner with any three people, who would they be?
Adam Sandler, Cathy Freeman, Justin Bieber.
What do you enjoy doing outside of sport?
Colouring in, watching Brooklyn 99, going to the footy & spending quality time with my family.
