Tell us about your life after your time at the VIS?

I still continued to play hockey at the highest level in Victoria and Australia, however after leaving the VIS I had more time to focus on my career aspirations outside of sport.

I continued with full time work after the VIS and I worked at Nike for 13 years. I recently took a redundancy in 2024 and am now reassessing what my future career looks like.

What is your proudest sporting achievement?

My proudest sporting achievement would be debuting for the Hockeyroos in 2013 and getting to play alongside my friends and share the special moment with them.

What is your proudest moment outside of sport?

My two children! When we are young, our main focus was always sport, however I have come to realise that there is more to sport. I'm happy I was able to take some time away from the sport and focus on my family where I can now support my own children in their sporting endeavours.

What is the most valuable lesson you learnt during your time at the VIS?

Friendship. Playing elite sport is tough, all the training sessions, meetings and the amount of time spent with other athletes/friends, makes it all worth while when you get to do it with your best friends.

A lot of my friendships were created within the VIS and I am grateful for that opportunity and the importance of having supportive team mates.
