How does the VIS support your career in high performance sport?
The VIS has helped me to develop as both an athlete and in life, they have been great at helping me balance the demands of both training, school and life commitments.
What do you enjoy most about your sport?
Being able to travel for training and competitions and the community in aerials.
Go-to meal before competing?
Burrito bowl.
If you could have dinner with any three people, who would they be?
Stephanie Gilmore, Zach Bryan, JB Mauney.
What do you enjoy doing outside of sport?
I enjoy camping, surfing and just being outside.
What was the turning point in your career that made you want to pursue this at a high performance level?
I grew up doing gymnastics at MLC and skiing, when I heard about a come-and-try day for aerials I thought it would be great because it's two of my favourite things to do in the one sport.
One of my gymnastics coaches, Bree Munro, had done aerials and told me stories from her career which made me even more interested. After joining aerials I finished competing level 9 in gymnastics and found aerials was what I wanted to do.
Getting to water ramp and flip on snow while being able to watch the older girls train and compete - especially at the Olympics - was a massive time when I knew I wanted to get there one day.
