The VIS is made up of over 115 employees who form an unrivalled network of expertise across coaching, nutrition, performance lifestyle, performance science, performance psychology, physical preparation, sports medicine and sports physiotherapy, delivering support and solutions to over 400 athletes across more than 45 sports.

VIS experts contribute to Australia’s international success, with 36 staff selected to the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams for Paris 2024.

Based within a refurbished 146-year-old red-brick grandstand in Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne’s Albert Park, the VIS is an internationally recognised Olympic and Paralympic training facility, housing state-of-the-art equipment and innovative, world-leading technology for Victoria’s best athletes to thrive on the world stage.
