Lei and Yang help Australia to most successful ever day
Australia’s Para-table tennis program enjoyed its most successful ever day on Monday, claiming a remarkable two gold medals as many as Australia had won in total in the 61 years since the first Paralympic Games, in Rome in 1960.
Galiabovitch, Australia’s Olympic flagbearer
Elena Galiabovitch received the prestigious honour of being named the Olympic flag-bearer for the Tokyo 2020 opening ceremony. Along with five other international Olympic athletes, Galiabovitch was selected to carry the Olympic flag in recognition of her work on the frontline to help Melbourne battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
