Glasgow 2026

The Commonwealth Games return to the world stage in the vibrant and historic city of Glasgow, Scotland, from 23 July to 2 August.

Australia arrives with a proud legacy after topping the medal tally at Birmingham 2022 with 180 medals, including major contributions from VIS scholarship athletes.

As the countdown begins, our athletes will rise to the occasion delivering world‑class performances and inspiring the nation, promising an unforgettable celebration of sport and global connection.

The Glasgow 2026 page is your home for all VIS scholarship athletes named on the Commonwealth Games Australia Team, with Glasgow related content and resources. Approximately 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories are set to compete across 10 sports:

BRING THE GLASGOW MAGIC TO THE CLASSROOM

As part of the VIS Be Fit. Be Well program, supported by School Sport Victoria, teachers can bring the Commonwealth Games to the classroom!

Dive into the stories of inspirational VIS athletes with an interactive classroom workbook. Included will be content from VIS athletes, plus activities to engage students with sport, health and one of the biggest international multi-sporting events in the world.

VIS athletes shine at Maurie Plant Meet in Melbourne
