Hailing from the country town of Echuca in Victoria, Pearse trains under Matt King at Kew Swim Club.
Since taking up swimming as a young child, Pearse’s career has maintained an upwards trajectory and in 2017, he recorded five new S10 13-and-under national age records.
In 2019 the young gun won four gold medals at the Hancock Prospecting Australia Age Swimming Championships, taking top honours in the Boys’ 15-16-year 100m backstroke (S10), 100m butterfly (S10), 400m free (S10) and 100m breaststroke (SB9).
In 2019 at the World Para Champs in London he took home an individual bronze in the 100m butterfly (S10) and will pull on the green and gold in Tokyo at the Paralympic Games.
