The Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) is the centre of high performance sport in Victoria, renowned for developing some of Australia’s most talented Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games champions.

Our team is made up of over 115 employees who form an unrivalled network of expertise, delivering support and solutions across athlete performance support, corporate services and people and community disciplines.

    Performance services traineeships
    We offer 12-month traineeships annually in physical preparation and performance science disciplines. Trainees have the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading experts and administrators to grow their careers in high-performance sport.

    Industry-based internships & work-integrated learning
    At select times, we also offer internships or work-integrated learning placements across various departments. These opportunities are typically coordinated through universities, so we encourage students to check eligibility requirements with their institution and reach out to [email protected] for more information.
    Work experience
    Unfortunately we are unable to offer work experience opportunities to secondary school students.
