Speaker Profile
Growing up in a country town west of Melbourne, Zali loved trying as many sports as possible, from Little Athletics and tennis to netball, before eventually trying hockey - the sport both her mum and grandmother played.
Zali has played hockey representing Hockey Victoria, School Sport Victoria, the U21 Women’s National Junior Squad (Jillaroos) and Hockey One (HC Melbourne), before making her debut for the Australian Hockeyroos in February at the 2026 FIH Pro League.
Zali has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and is working alongside her sporting career.
Zali is passionate about sharing her knowledge and supporting the next generation. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog and younger brother, playing the occasional round of golf or basketball, and kicking the footy with friends and family. She has even had the unique experience of playing football for the Western Bulldogs VFLW in several games last winter. She is driven, enthusiastic, and always eager for her next challenge - whether that’s in sport, study, or life.
