How does the VIS support your career in high performance sport?
Support at the VIS is never just one-way. I have received great care and support from the nurses and doctors when I've been injured. I have access to world-class facilities and coaches, sports dieticians, sports physiotherapists and others. The VIS is an amazing Institute.
Most memorable sporting moment?
My most memorable sporting moment was winning the Presidents Cup in Kuala Lumpur.
Proudest personal achievement outside of sport?
My proudest moment was meeting my grandmother in the Czech Republic. I went there with my cycling team to race the Tour of West Bohemia and my grandmother came over to watch me. I felt very proud to be there with my team.
What do you enjoy most about your sport?
I enjoy the training, the preparations, racing, and even the rest and recovery. I just enjoy riding my bikes.
Advice to your younger self?
Don't ride on an electric scooter, you will brake your toe! Just ride your bike.
Go-to meal before competing?
A pasta party is the best way to get ready for a cycling event. It was introduced to me while I was competing in Italy.
If you could have dinner with any three people, who would they be?
Hilton Clark OAM OLY, Vanessa Bof (VIS Para Cycling Coach) and Tim Decker (VIS Head Cycling Coach).
