It has definitely helped me to become more confident in my self-management and more disciplined as an athlete. Being supported and inspired constantly by other high-performance athletes and staff has really encouraged me to push myself and take every opportunity I'm given head on.

The people I meet and the connections I build. I feel like I am at my most vulnerable when I play or when I'm at a tournament, so the people in my team, both players and officials, are who I'm most honest with and can be myself around. It's such a blessing to play the sport I love at such a high level with equally amazing people supporting and pushing me.

My favourite saying is 'I play well when I'm having fun, and I have fun when I play well'. I would tell my younger self to make sure that I'm enjoying everything I do and every challenge I face, because as long as I do this, I have been successful. Whilst still being aware that some days may be tough, recognising that challenges are privileges is essential to growth and the satisfaction that comes with it.
