Will Morgan
General Manager Performance Support
Will is the General Manager of Performance Support at the Victorian Institute of Sport, where he leads the integration of performance science, physical preparation, and emerging technology.
With nearly a decade at the VIS; progressing from Lead Physical Preparation Coach to Physical Preparation Manager before stepping into his current role, Will brings applied experience in strength and conditioning, athlete development, and performance innovation.
He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise and Sport Science and is accredited through ASCA and ESSA. His prior experience includes roles at the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia and Adelaide Football Club
Prof. Ebonie Rio
Professor of Research / Deputy Manager Physiotherapy
Ebonie is a clinician researcher with more than 22 years' experience working with athletes across Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games Sports. She consults clinically to multiple professional sports and is invited to teach around the world on areas of musculoskeletal pain and neuroscience.
Ebonie completed her PhD in tendon pain and also holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (hons), Masters of Sports Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Applied Science, Graduate Certificate in Pain Science and completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course.
Dr Emily Meehan
Nutrition Manager
Emily Meehan is an Advanced Sports Dietitian and Nutrition Manager at the Victorian Institute of Sport.
With over 15 years’ experience working with athletes across Olympic, Paralympic, and professional sports, she brings a depth of high performance expertise.
Emily focuses on delivering practical, athlete-centred nutrition strategies that support performance, recovery, and long-term health.
Daniel Dymond
Performance Psychology Manager
Daniel is the Performance Psychology Manager at the Victorian Institute of Sport, where he leads the performance psychology team, supports the Olympic Shotgun and Individual Athlete Scholarship programs. He is a sport and performance psychologist specialising in performance under pressure, attentional control, psychological flexibility, and mental health in high performance environments.
Daniel is also the performance psychologist for Golf Australia and works with professional athletes in elite sport across the world.
He is an experienced speaker and facilitator in performance, leadership, mindfulness, and mental health.
Tess Lloyd OLY
Community Programs and Marketing Coordinator
Tess coordinates Community Programs at the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS). A proud Olympian in sailing, she has spent years sharing her sporting journey as a public speaker, developing a genuine passion for authentic storytelling and community connection.
Drawing on her lived experience as an elite athlete, Tess now channels that knowledge into empowering fellow athletes, helping them find their voice, share their stories, and promote the VIS programs that support their journey.
Dr Avish Sharma
Performance Scientist - Physiology (Athletics)
Avish has supported the VIS athletics program as a physiologist since 2022. He is also currently the Physiology network lead for Australian Athletics. Prior to this, he was physiology and research lead at Triathlon Australia (2018-2021).
Avish completed his PhD in altitude training at the AIS and University of Canberra (2014-2018), whilst also supporting the athletics and swimming programs as a junior physiologist. He has published research in areas such as altitude training, exercise metabolism, heat adaptation and testing methods.
Since returning to athletics, Avish has supported athletes and coaches at camps and competitions, served on the Distance Advisory panel, and contributed to sport specific strategic projects.
Grace Claringbold
Performance Lifestyle Adviser
Grace is a Performance Lifestyle Adviser and organisational psychologist. She is experienced in wellbeing, leadership development, career development, and learning. Grace has designed and delivered interventions across the individual, team and system level. At the Victorian Institute of Sport, Grace supports the wellbeing of developing, Olympic and Paralympic athletes across a range of sports. She has completed a Masters in Organisational Psychology and is accredited in a number of psychometric assessments.
Milli Bilson
Performance Scientist - Performance Analysis
Milli is a Performance Analyst at the VIS, currently working with the Australian Mixed Doubles curling team, the National U21 Women’s hockey team (Jillaroos), and VIS netball development and wheelchair basketball programs. She brings experience across a diverse range of Olympic and Paralympic sports.
In addition to her applied work, Milli is the Trainee Coordinator for the Performance Science Department and contributes as a presenter in the VIS Advancement Series educational tours.
She has a strong interest in working with new and developing sports and designing performance analysis workflows that enhance coach decision making and support athlete development.
Dr Victoria Brackley
Performance Scientist – Biomechanics & Learning Design
Victoria Brackley, known as VB by colleagues, is a Performance Scientist at the Victorian Institute of Sporting working across biomechanics and learning design.
She is currently embedded with swimming and triathlon Paralympic and Olympic programs and supports other sport programs including wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby
VB has a PhD in swimming biomechanics underpinned by skill acquisition from Victoria University. Her research explored the transfer of drills in the training environment to the skills required in competition. Before high performance sport, VB worked in sport engineering.
Lucy Scott
Performance Scientist - Physiology
Lucy is a physiologist at the VIS with a strong interest in training design and environmental adaptations. Prior to joining the VIS, Lucy was a physiologist in multiple Olympic sports within the UK high performance system.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology.
Laura Cosgrove
Performance Psychologist
Laura Cosgrove is an experienced Performance Psychologist at the VIS. She has over a decade of working in elite sport, including six years at the English Institute of Sport (EIS; now UKSI) where she worked with British Diving and British Cycling, over two Olympic cycles.
Laura currently works with the VIS diving and athletics teams and is the Lead Psychologist for Diving Australia.
Laura specialises in developing mental performance strategies that help athletes and coaches thrive under the high-pressure conditions of competition.
Sarina Lococo
Sports Dietitian
Sarina is an Advanced Sports Dietitian with over 15 years' experience working with elite athletes in Olympic, Paralympic and professional sports. Before joining the VIS, Sarina worked at the AIS European Training Centre in Italy where she honed her skills in culinary nutrition and immersed herself in her families culture.
Sarina has a strong background in nutrition education and health promotion and uses these skills to empower her athletes in achieving their goals.
