1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games – Silver (1500m freestyle), Bronze (400m & 200m freestyle)

Commonwealth Games gold medallist in the 4 × 200m freestyle relay (1994 & 1998)

Commonwealth Games silver medallist in the 1500m freestyle (1994)

6 x World Championship gold medallist in the 4 × 200m freestyle relay (1995 & 1998), the 1500m freestyle (1993 & 1995) and the 400m freestyle (1993 & 1995)

World Championship silver medallist in the 1500m freestyle (1994)

2 x World Championship bronze medallist in the 1500m freestyle (1998 & 1999)

Since his retirement, Daniel worked as an athlete career and education advisor at the VIS. His current position is General Manager of the Australian Swimmers Association.
