"Four seasons in a day"

Sail Melbourne was the second of two major regattas for the Australian Summer. The first being Sail Sydney, which was held the week prior to Sail Melbourne. We had some promising results during Sail Sydney which really motivated us going into Sail Melbourne.

The 4 day event provided the fleet with a large range of conditions, including plenty of rain and storms. The racing was very challenging with squalls from the flooding rain.

It kept us on our toes and highlighted a few key areas for us to work on during our next training block.

Despite the volatility of the breeze, we sailed pretty consistently and managed to come away with the win.

It was a great way to round out a big year of competing for Tayla and I.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Johnny Rodgers for braving Melbourne's "four seasons in a day" weather over the last week. Hopefully we can put on some nice sunny weather for training in the new year!
