Lead Physical Preparation Coach - Athletics

The VIS are looking for a dynamic and passionate high performance professional to join its team in the role of Lead Physical Preparation Coach for Athletics (Full time or Part time 0.8FTE).

The position will be primarily based at the VIS headquarters in Melbourne’s Albert Park precinct with delivery also at other venues as required by the sport. As part of an inter-disciplinary sports science and medicine team the primary role is delivery of strength and conditioning services to athletes identified as part of the AIS and Australia’s Winning Edge High Performance strategy, to achieve success at World Championships and Olympic Games.

To be successful in this role, you should have had extensive experience working as a strength and conditioning coach with high performance athletes and a proven ability working within an integrated/multi-disciplinary team environment.  This experience should include demonstrable instances of working with the rehabilitation of complex sport injuries. The successful applicant needs to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound organisational and planning skills and attention to detail.

Remuneration for this role will up to a salary of $80k pa + super, based on qualifications and experience.
