VIS/ Victorian Performance Pathway (VPP) Rowing Head Coach

The VIS is seeking an experienced, qualified and passionate high performance Rowing coach to lead and manage the VIS/ Victorian Performance Pathway Program (VPP), ensuring the identification and development of rowers who have the potential to be selected for Rowing Australia’s (RA) national training centers and achieve podium results at benchmark events.
Reporting to the Performance Manager (Pathways) and based at the VIS headquarters at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, you must possess the capacity to devise, understand and adapt “world leading practice” with innovation and daring to have a performance impact. To be successful in this busy role you will be outcome oriented and able to multi-task, with significant high performance coaching experience thus demonstrating an understanding of the requirements of elite athletes and coaches.
You will require strong leadership and coordination skills given the role is the key point of contact between the VIS, Rowing Victoria, Rowing Australia, the Performance Pathway clubs and their coaches and athletes based across Victoria. Therefore a strong emphasis will be placed on the successful applicant having demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, and experience of working with and across multiple organizations and disciplines.
